Adnama's room is always 30 degrees colder than the rest of the house so he has been freezing at night! Good thing Sweet Pea found a gift ('the box') Nella Retep gave Adnama a few years back and has been using it as a bed (it was especially helpful earlier this week when it snowed in Austin!) Thanks, Retep!

Another One Bites the Dust
I have encountered the jaws of death once and lived to tell the tale. Unfortunately, one of my housemates was not so lucky. I came home after a long day of work and saw him under the table and noticed there was no longer any life in his eyes. To be accurate, he no longer had eyes. His fluffy insides were strewn about but I didn't want to show such gory pictures (keepin' it PG) on this blog. Sorry, Mister Bear.
Face to be feared.
Showing remorse?
Be careful out there guys. Take this opportunity to tell friends & family that you love them. Be thankful for each day.

Recipe for Paw-made (slash Hand made) Journals!
Ingredients:
1. Paws/Hands
2. Fwends
3. Books with hidden treasures (courtesy of Limey)
4. String
5. Ream o' Paper
6. Card stock for the cover
7. Craft Kit (gloo-stick, black/colored pens, mod podge, scissors)
8. Patience
Procedure:
1. Cut the stack of paper & card stock to the desired size (well, twice the size) so that you have maybe 5-6 sheets (or more, if you're ambitious!).
2. Fold each paper in half so that you'll have a little book of 10-12 pages.
3. Along the edge of the crease, cut little triangles about 1/2 an inch apart.
4. Cut the string about 3x the length of the binding.
5. Thread the string through the holes (made from the triangle cutouts) and tie knots in each hole.
6. Decorate the journal/booklet with picture cutouts!! Or with drawings/doodles! Then mod podge! or whatever your heart desires....
As you can see, I found some cute graph paper, which I cut out of one of Limey's books & glued to my journal. I also stumbled upon some funky peacock looking drawing/design, which I really liked! Here, I'm posing with my new journal...tah-dah!!!!!
PS. Oh, and when you see Toodz/Adnama, you'll have to ask about their journal gift (a field guide of sorts...or something) to Orange....

Friends All Over the U.S.A.
Monster world is bigger than you guys may have expected. Yhern and Adnama were talking and introduced me to some extended family I never knew I had. Mario (orange), Rich (pink) and Rachel (yellow) were all born in California but now are spread up across the country. They currently reside in Boston, Penn and SF, respectively. Good thing there is a lot of string to go between their tin can telephones.
Snow Day!
No work today! I was born in NC and we never had a snow day - I never expected to move to Texas and get a snow day my first year here! Snowpea and I went outside to play. We each made snow monsters.
We only stayed outside for a few minutes before scurrying back in for a cup of hot chocolate by the fireplace. Mmm.
Stay warm!
Peace, love and inclement weather,
Toodz :B

Magnets
Adnama & Tebys made these a while ago, but I've just gotten around to posting them now. We took some old magazines and cut out fun colors and patterns, glued them onto card stock, modge podged, & stuck magnets on the back. Voila. Never have to buy a magnet ever again. Oh! And there's the Valentine's Day card Limey made (Eye Heart Yew).

Monster Update: Rex
My friend, Rex, has settled quite well into his new world! Apparently, he's done quite well in the Lil' Monster World Integration Program (LMWIP), with a respectable score of "π" on the world integration scale. According to Sweet Pea, Rex is a bouncer for Limey at Club Planta. He guards the plants for Limey at Limey's office. So, as you can see, Rex is already raking in the Monster Monie$ (you're not the only one who can use dolla' signs in words, Ke$hia!). Hopefully, he'll be spending his money wisely...time for Monster Finance 101 for Rex! Anyway, we're so very proud of you, Rex!
Wishing you all the success in the world,
Henri

Thank You Limey! & Happy Belated Birthday Toodz!
First off, I'd like to send a thank you shoutout to Limey, who generously shared her sewing machine with us. Pocket monster night 1 (TBPosted) went down sans sewing machine pedal, which made the first few attempts interesting and ... ruff.
Meet our newest friend, Rex, who was made especially for Limey. My mommy is becoming more complex in her designs - Rex has dimension!
Also, happy happy belated birthday to Toodz! He turned 2 in Monster Years! He got a little cuhraaaayzayyy.
Until next time!
Much love,
Henri

Little Friends and Marathon Wallets!
This week we decided not to cook - mainly because we ate so much for Chinese New Year. Food coma, nomnomnomnom. (Happy Year of the Tiger - :B rawr).
We made little friends (new little terrors) and were actually able to use a sewing machine thanks to our friend Limey. Please help us welcome our new friendz: Sleepyface, Little Frankie, Ghostie and Three. Family photo!!
Henri's mommy volunteered at the Austin Marathon's expo and acquired some marathon bibs (she said please, of course). My mommy ran and now she walks like the "Forrest Gump when he was younger and had those braces" - MollzBallz. To remember this event, Henri's mommy crafted these amazing credit card holders so that she could retire her hobbling wallet and my momz didn't have to use her Blackberry cover as a make-shift wallet. Lookit!
We will be backlogging our other projects soon. Wheeeeee!
Peace, love and poly-fil,
Toodz :B
